Job description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Hyperscale Data Center Telecom Low Voltage Design Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing low voltage telecommunications systems for a variety of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and safety. (Microsoft Data Center Experience is a plus!)

To Be Clear, This position requires Revit experience and is based on the Passive Infrastructure Design of

OSP Conduit Ductbanks, Fiber Distribution, Rack Elevations, One-lines, Conduit Routing, Conveyance Routing, Coordination with electrical on power requirements and heat loads, cable tray fill ratio's, cable tray structural load requirements, Copper Distribution, and other components of the physical infrastructure associated with CSI division 27. This is not a software development position, this is not an IT maintenance position, and this has nothing to do with active network equipment such as routers, switches, VOIP solutions, etc. Please do not apply if your skill set does not match with the opportunity!

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design and Production (Revit) of Hyperscale Data Center Facilities inclusive of OSP, Core Building, and White Floor Tenant Fit out for Hyperscale Clients

- Design and develop detailed design plans for low voltage telecommunications systems, including Outside plant duct bank systems, Facility Voice and Data, Controls Infrastructure, and High Strand Count Fiber Solutions for AI Data Center Connectivity.

- Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to determine project requirements and objectives.

- Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure optimal placement and integration of telecommunications systems.

- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and diagrams, to communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders.

- Provide expert guidance on the selection and procurement of Infrastructure components necessary for system implementation.

- Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of telecommunications systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

- Evaluate existing system designs and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.

- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually refine design methodologies and deliver innovative solutions.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during and after system deployment to ensure client satisfaction.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in low voltage telecommunications design and implementation.

- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to telecommunications systems.

- High Proficiency in use and application of Autodesk Revit Software

- High Proficiency in high Strand Count Fiber Optic Solutions (Corning, Commscope, AFL)

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- RCDD Certification in telecommunications design or a related discipline is a plus.
