Your mission is to use your GIS expertise to meet the needs of our clients! To achieve this, you will work on-site with clients and ensure that your projects are completed to the highest standard.

SIGGIS is a company specialized in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based on Esri and VertiGIS tools. We provide our clients with implementation, integration, configuration, training, and support in GIS and related IT services. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a GIS Consultant to develop both external and internal projects based on Esri’s ArcGIS solutions, the global leader in the GIS community.

What you can expect:
  • You will be responsible for configuring Web GIS applications.
  • You will handle data processing using tools and scripts such as Python, FME, etc.
  • You will implement desktop GIS solutions for clients.
  • You will automate GIS analyses and modeling, enabling our clients to perform analyses quickly and efficiently themselves.
  • You will contribute to the design of GIS architectures.
  • You will conduct functional analyses of GIS tasks.
  • You’re interested in occasionally attending GIS conferences—SIGGIS, for example, participates in events in Palm Springs, San Diego, and Hamburg.
  • In addition, you will take on many other interesting tasks related to GIS and geography, depending on your areas of interest!
Requirements
  • You have a higher education degree: Master in Geography, Bioscience or Civil Engineering, Master in Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
  • You are familiar with Esri software, such as ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Enterprise. Experience with other GIS solutions is a plus.
  • You have an affinity for IT and are a proficient PC user. Preferably, you also have some knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • You understand how software development and databases work.
  • You are client- and results-oriented.
  • You are communicative and a real team player.
  • You have strong analytical skills, take initiative, and work in a problem-solving manner.
  • You have a good command of Dutch and/or French. You understand English well and can express yourself in it.
Our offer
  • A permanent contract!
  • A competitive salary package with numerous fringe benefits, such as meal vouchers, eco vouchers, hospitalization insurance, group insurance, company car with fuel card, smartphone with subscription, and a generous amount of vacation days!
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home.
  • Easily accessible offices.
  • Option for bike leasing and a bicycle allowance.
  • Participation in renowned conferences, including those in Palm Springs, San Diego, and Hamburg.
  • On-the-job and external training, because you want to be the best at what you do!
  • Experienced colleagues who will support you with advice and guidance.

Merkator shows me the way—both on the map and in my professional growth.
