In this role, you will implement innovative security measures, close vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies that protect classified data and fortify national defense.

As a key leader, you'll guide a team of engineers to analyze and resolve complex network challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive the adoption of advanced solutions using tools like Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, and Forescout. By applying zero trust principles, you'll ensure that devices, applications, and users are authenticated and authorized before accessing sensitive systems, reducing risks and countering evolving cyber threats. Your work will play a critical role in modernizing cyber defense and protecting national infrastructure.

What You'll Work On
  • Design, develop, and implement zero trust and SDN‑based architectures to enhance network security.
  • Lead a team of engineers to identify tools and solutions that mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses.

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations on integrating emerging technologies for network resilience.
  • Mentor team members while solving real‑world challenges to protect military missions.
  • Manage and improve infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including detection capabilities and event correlation in large enterprises.

  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Security+ Certification.
Nice If You Have

  • Experience designing and implementing Cloud‑native and over‑the‑top networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with firewall design and network security, including device hardening, intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, firewalls, and Internet Protocol Security, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection.
  • Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls and F5 Load Balancers.
  • Knowledge of designing and delivering Cisco SD‑Access solutions.
  • Knowledge of implementing Cisco TrustSec policies to enforce dynamic and scalable access control across enterprise networks.
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing Security Group Tags (SGTs) to classify users, devices, and workloads for policy enforcement.
  • Knowledge of integrating SGTs with network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls to enable identity‑based segmentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, prior publications, and speaking engagements in industry or vendor forums.
