Role Overview
The Sr. Quality Receiving Inspector ensures that all incoming materials and components meet Hera Technologies' quality requirements before release to production. This role protects our manufacturing flow by verifying compliance to drawings, purchase orders, and customer specifications while accurately documenting inspection results within our ERP system. The position directly supports on-time delivery and product integrity for aerospace and defense applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, machined parts, and outside processed components using basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related inspection equipment.
  • Verify compliance to engineering drawings, purchase orders, and applicable specifications prior to material release.
  • Record inspection results accurately within the ERP system and maintain traceable documentation.
  • Initiate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when discrepancies are identified and support MRB review activities.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve material discrepancies and prevent flow disruption.
  • Maintain organized inspection records, certifications, and supplier documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to receiving inspection and supplier quality performance.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum experience of 3 years within an aerospace or manufacturing environment and work within AS9100D standards and practices.
  • Educational Level- High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Romer Arm experience and a strong understanding of GD&T measurements and requirements.
  • Measurement & Inspection- Working knowledge of basic measurement tools including calipers and micrometers, with ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • ERP & Documentation- Experience entering data into ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Quality Processes- Understanding of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), MRB workflows, and basic quality control practices.
  • Communication & Organization-Ability to communicate clearly across departments and maintain accurate, organized records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift 50lbs. alone and be able to stand and walk without difficulty.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
  • Experiecnce with Verisurf inspection software.
  • Familiarity with JobBOSS or Epicor ERP systems.
  • Exposure to AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, and outside processing documentation.
  • Forklift Experience or active certified forklifting license.

$35 - $38 an hour

Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm M-F, OT available for weekends
Hourly Pay Range: $35 - $38 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Base Location: Ontario, CA

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. Retirement plan participation (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
