General Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Manager with a legal background to assist in the drafting, negotiation, review, and management of contracts across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of legal terminology, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements, and will play a key role in ensuring contractual obligations are managed effectively and in alignment with company policies and legal standards.

Essential Duties

Assist in the drafting, review, negotiation, and implementation of a wide variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, lease agreements, licensing agreements, and more.

Provide legal insight and risk analysis on contractual language to ensure protection of the company's interests.

Collaborate with internal departments (compliance, finance, operations, etc.) to gather input and align contract terms with business needs.

Maintain and manage a centralized repository of contracts, using AI assisted software to standardize language, establish and manage form agreements and ensure timely adherence to contract timelines and deadlines.

Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with terms and applicable laws and regulations.

Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies, templates, and best practices.

Support internal audits and respond to inquiries related to contract data or obligations.

Identify areas of potential risk and escalate issues appropriately to legal leadership.

Work closely with the compliance department to identify potential issues with HIPAA, Privacy, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback, Stark Law and other statutory compliance.

No supervisory requirement.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience 3+ years' experience in contract management role

Associate's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not required. Prior experience with contract management and AI assisted technology a big plus.

Professional proficiency with Microsoft and Excel

Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Strong time management skills.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear.

Travel by car or airline may be required.

The work environment is usually low to moderate noise level.
