Contract Administrator - Federal Hub Gas Plant Projects (U.S. Government Project)
Engineering & Construction

  • dminister and manage all prime contract obligations under a U.S. Government contract, ensuring NextEra's performance aligns with contractual requirements, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with the Federal Hubs Program Office (FPO) and relevant Government stakeholders on contract performance reporting, schedule submittals, and required certifications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between NextEra project team and Government Independent Evaluator (IE) for all contract-related correspondence and formal communications
  • Maintain a contract deliverables requirements matrix (CDRM) and ensure timely submission of all required reports, plans, and documentation to the Government
  • Review, interpret, and flow down applicable Government contract clauses to project team, including EPC obligations, equipment supplier requirements, and service provider responsibilities
  • Track and administer Request for Information (RFI), submittal, and correspondence logs to maintain a defensible contemporaneous record of project decisions and commitments
  • Lead the identification, preparation, pricing, and negotiation of contract modifications, change orders, and equitable adjustments (EAs) in coordination with project controls and legal
  • Participate in project schedule reviews to assess contractual risk associated with the compressed construction timeline and flag exposure related to liquidated damages or key milestone obligations
  • Conduct contract closeout activities including final invoice reconciliation, release of liens, demobilization verification, and submission of all required closeout certifications and documentation
This role supports a high-priority, schedule-driven gas generation project and requires a candidate comfortable operating in a fast-paced, compressed-timeline environment.
