Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

Seeking individual with at least 5 years of relevant experience working with aerospace components.
 
Demusz Manufacturing is a family owned and operated contract manufacturer of precision machined critical aerospace components. We machine mostly nickel-based alloy parts in the 10” to 60” diameter range. We have a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and our customers. We are focused on hiring and developing skilled and professional employees. Our 24,000 square foot facility offers clean, well-lit working conditions and is climate-controlled year-round to aid in the production of precision parts and to create a comfortable working environment.
 
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Determining sequence of operations
  • CAD modeling
  • Generating operation sheets and other engineering drawings
  • Generating work instructions
  • Designing fixtures and tools
  • CNC programing
  • Problem solving
  • Root cause and corrective action
  • Continuous improvement
  • APQP and PPAP
  • Interfacing with production, quality, management, suppliers, and customers
 
The dynamic nature of the aerospace components industry requires engineers not be isolated to a specific role and be able to support the entire manufacturing process. Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with any CAD software
  • Microsoft Office
  • General knowledge of CNC machines
  • General knowledge of GD&T
  • Process engineering

 Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3D printing experience
  • Familiar with CMM technology 
  • Nadcap (conventional machining as a special process)
  • ERP software familiarity

 The position is on site in East Hartford, CT Monday through Friday. Working hours are 8:00AM to 5:30PM. The shift start time is flexible to meet your schedule.
