Job description

Integration and Test Software Engineer 2 Location: Linthicum, MD (Onsite) Pay: $72/hr W2 OR $85.50/hr 1099 Contract: 12 months Overview Northrop Grumman is seeking an Integration and Test Software Engineer 2 to support the Space Payloads and Ground Eastern Region department in Linthicum, MD. This role will focus on designing, developing, integrating, and testing software used to manage test equipment and execute automated tests for advanced space payload systems. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments, and the ability to debug, integrate, and test software within complex engineering systems. This position will work on an Agile development team using tools such as Python, TCL, C++, Jenkins, and Robot Framework. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, operate, and maintain integration and test software for space payload systems * Develop software that manages test equipment and executes system-level tests * Support automated testing and verification using tools such as Jenkins and Robot Framework * Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, and test * Debug new and existing code to identify and resolve software issues * Use tools and logs to verify system behavior and troubleshoot problem areas * Participate in Agile scrum teams, peer reviews, design reviews, and technical reviews * Collaborate with engineering and system specialists to execute assigned tasking * Make technical recommendations to leads as needed to support implementation and delivery * Ensure software and system requirements are met from an end-to-end test perspective Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline with 8+ years of software development experience OR * Master's degree with 6+ years of experience OR * PhD with 3+ years of experience * Experience developing software in Python * Ability to debug original code and understand existing codebases * Experience integrating software applications and using logs/tools to verify proper operation * Experience developing in Linux and/or Windows environments * Experience testing and debugging software systems * Experience with software configuration management tools * U.S. Citizenship required * No clearance required to start, but must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI Preferred Qualifications * Experience working on Agile Scrum teams * C++ development experience * TCL/TK development experience * Experience controlling test equipment through software, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, signal analyzers, and power supplies * Experience integrating RF, digital, or optical systems/equipment * Experience with Jenkins and Robot Framework * Experience with embedded Python optimization * Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues * Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket * Active TS/SCI Clearance Additional Notes * Supports cutting-edge space payload systems * Strong fit for candidates with Python-based test automation, embedded software, integration/test, RF test equipment, or space/defense systems experience * No clearance required to start, but TS/SCI eligibility is required * Onsite role in Linthicum, MD Join the TASC Technical Services team, with 30 years of excellence in the staffing industry!
