Position: Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer (Ada)
Location: Orlando, Florida
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team developing advanced embedded systems. In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, integration, testing, and qualification activities for mission-critical real-time systems.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced development environment.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance real-time embedded software applications using the Ada programming language.
Participate in software requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, integration, and verification activities.
Support hardware and software integration efforts, including troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues.
Perform software testing, validation, and formal qualification activities.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and test engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Contribute to software process improvements and development best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience developing real-time embedded software.
3+ years of experience programming in Ada.
3+ years of software integration and testing experience involving both hardware and software systems.
Ability to work on-site in Orlando, Florida, on a Monday through Thursday 4x10 work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Linux and/or VxWorks operating systems.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
Knowledge of Git-based development workflows and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams across multiple engineering disciplines.
