This position is offering a pay rate of $44.22/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Job Summary: Summary: Seeking an engineer to develop, execute, and automate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-loop (SIL) verification activities for embedded control systems. The role focuses on dSPACE-based test environments, system-level verification, automation in both the HIL and SIL environments, and troubleshooting of electronic control software and hardware. Job Responsibilities: * Develop and execute HIL/SIL verification test plans for embedded control systems and ECUs. * Configure, operate, and troubleshoot dSPACE/Vector-based test benches and validation environments. * Create and maintain automated test scripts, data collection, and reporting tools to improve test efficiency and coverage for both HIL and SIL environments * Analyze defects, perform root-cause investigations, and support system-level verification of software and hardware integrations. Skills: * Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components * Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. * Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. * Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software. Solid programming experience in C or C++ * Strong knowledge of computer development software as it relates to embedded systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc. * Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL systems, ECU validation, and embedded controls testing. * Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development concepts. * Experience with Python automation, test scripting, and data analysis. * Knowledge of CAN/J1939, UDS diagnostics, Vector tools, and hardware troubleshooting/debugging. Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or relevant field required. * 2-4 years experience required.
