POSITION SUMMARY

PowerRise is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Project Manager to lead and ensure the successful execution of complex electric utility projects. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with clients, leading and mentoring multidisciplinary project teams, diligently overseeing project budgets and schedules, and guaranteeing that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesPROJECT PLANNING AND EXECUTION LEADERSHIP:

Develop, manage, and meticulously maintain comprehensive project plans, detailed schedules (utilizing tools like MS Project or Primavera P6), and robust budgets for electric utility projects.

Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and accountable environment.

Oversee and direct all project phases, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring & control, and final closeout, ensuring strict alignment with client objectives, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.

PROACTIVE RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION:

Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks by developing and implementing effective risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Communicate clearly, consistently, and effectively with clients, key stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal project teams, providing regular, transparent updates and comprehensive reports.

QUALITY, SAFETY, AND COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE:

Ensure unwavering compliance with all applicable safety regulations, quality standards, environmental requirements, and permitting processes.

Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices in project management processes and methodologies.

Champion a culture of safety and quality excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Construction Management, or a closely related technical field.

A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in project management, with a clear and demonstrable focus on leading and managing electric utility capital projects (e.g., transmission, distribution, substation).

Strong understanding and practical application of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI framework/PMP, Agile principles where applicable).

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and standard office tools.

Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects and consistently deliver successful results in a dynamic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies in a utility context.

In-depth knowledge of electric utility industry regulations, standards (e.g., NERC, FERC), and local permitting processes.

Experience with contract management and administration.
