WHO WE ARE:

Jedson Engineering is an Engineering Consultancy headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. We provide full-service engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services. We are in a significant growth mode and it’s an exciting time to be joining our business!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll partner closely with our Power Generation team. Design, analysis, and specification of power distribution systems.
 Projects range from facility modifications to complex EPC contracts. Some travel to project and construction sites will be required.

  • Proficiency with ETAP Grid and Cable Systems modules for load flow, short-circuit, protective relay coordination, transient stability, arc flash, and cable ampacity studies.
  • Experience applying power system analysis tools to utility-scale power generation facilities, generator interconnections, substations, and industrial power distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of IEEE, IEC, and utility requirements related to power system performance, protection, and insulation coordination.
  • Highly desired - Proficiency with PSCAD for electromagnetic transient studies, transient overvoltage analysis, switching surge evaluation, and insulation coordination of medium and high-voltage electrical systems.

• Experience with design/installation of distribution equipment, with experience in consulting engineering and construction industry

• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA) 

• Able to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision

• Well organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and operate within budgets and work directly with client engineers and maintenance teams.

• 7+ years of experience 

• PE license or EIT certificate with ability to obtain PE license is preferred but not required.
