Job Description

The Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting machine operators, and ensuring parts are sorted and handled safely and efficiently. This role involves working with small, lightweight parts that are sorted into crates, which may become heavy when full, and requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials and parts to support continuous production flow.
  • Assist machine operators with daily production activities, including setting up and supplying machines as needed.
  • Sort small, lightweight parts into crates accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle crates that may become heavy once full, using safe lifting techniques and equipment as required.
  • Perform basic machine operation tasks under guidance, ensuring equipment runs smoothly.
  • Support general labor tasks such as cleaning work areas, organizing materials, and maintaining a tidy production environment.
  • Assist with assembly tasks as needed to meet production goals.
  • Operate forklifts safely when required, following all safety procedures and training.
  • Package finished parts and products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect parts for defects or quality issues and report any concerns promptly.
  • Use hand tools and follow basic blueprint or work instruction guidance when required.
  • Follow all safety policies, including proper use of steel-toe footwear and safety glasses.
  • Adapt to changing production needs, including working overtime and adjusting to schedule changes when requested.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
