Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Drafter to join our team to assist with preparing and revising drawings. The drafter will produce detailed and accurate drawings, and portions of the 3D models, that comply with mechanical and electrical design criteria. The candidate must be willing to coordinate with other disciplines, and be able to keep track of multiple tasks with separate deadlines.

This position is based in Houston, TX.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

  • Makes any adjustments or changes to drawings as necessary or directed
  • Coordinate and consult with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards
  • Follows established drafting standards and document control procedures
  • Prepares estimates of drafting times
  • Check drawings for accuracy and compliance to company/industry standards
  • Coordinate document reviews
  • Assist with uploading documents into our document control system

Qualifications

Required experience

  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of drafting techniques and schematics development
  • Oil and gas Pipeline experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with construction or manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Proficient in reading drawing packages including electrical, mechanical and civil

Required Education

  • Associates degree, or higher, in a Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD/CAD) related degree with (2-5) years of CAD or drafting experience
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Autocad
  • Certifications from American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) or equivalent, preferred
