Description:

This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award.


Prevailance is seeking a Water Survival Training Dive Master to deliver high-risk training in support of military personnel. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with instructional experience who thrive in physically demanding, austere training environments.


Primary Duties

  • Support Underwater Egress Training
  • Support Emergency Parachuting and Water Survival Training
  • Train divers on use, operation, and maintenance procedures for all SCUBA diving equipment
  • Maintain dive locker and equipment
  • Support development and documentation of waterborne operations to include research of available and emerging technologies related to Dive Locker/Maritime Operations
  • Assist with qualification, requalification, and documentation of training records and diving logs
  • Provide diver upgrade training for Mission Qualification Training, enclosed space diving, and Dive Supervisor training
  • Manage SERE Safety Diver Qualification Upgrade Program, and SCUBA qualification program
  • Travel – 10%

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Possess DoD certified Diver First Class
  • Qualified and operated as a Naval Enlisted Classification (NEC) M1DV Diver First Class (Legacy NEC Code 5342) as outlined in NAVPERS 18068F Vol II or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Operational Diver First Class
  • Current lifeguard qualified or ability to become qualified before time of hire
  • Capable of swimming in turbulent waters
  • 3-5 year’s experience and knowledge of US Navy recompression chamber operations
  • 3-5 year’s experience in certification and maintenance of high-pressure air systems
  • 3-5 year’s experience in employment the US Navy Dive/Jump Reporting System, U.S. Navy Planned Maintenance System, and the 3M system
  • 3-5 years experience in reading blueprints and schematic drawings, understand specifications, and interpret illustrated parts breakdowns and other publications used in the field of Dive Locker/Maritime equipment and dive related specialization
  • Be familiar with USAF and MAJCOM regulatory guidelines and instructions
  • Must have SECRET Security Clearance or be eligible to receive one

Desired Qualifications

  • First Aid / CPR or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred
  • Familiarity with USAF SERE program structure and hierarchy

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
