Role Overview:
As a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing, optimizing, and securing release processes across the Salesforce ecosystem. You will focus on the continuous improvement of established Copado-driven automated release workflows across Salesforce teams while supporting integration points with cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in Copado, Salesforce metadata management, and CI/CD pipelines will drive efficient deployments and support robust release workflows. You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to establish a reliable, scalable, and secure environment with an emphasis on automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize established Copado-driven automated release workflows and CI/CD pipelines across Salesforce teams to ensure efficient, timely deployments.
Understand Salesforce metadata and manage complex merge conflicts using Git and Salesforce deployment tools.
Implement quality gates for security, test coverage, and static code analysis best practices.
Implement change governance and communication for shared production infrastructure with multiple independent internal teams and vendors.
Develop and enforce version control and branching strategies using Git and Copado to maintain consistency across all environment phases.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into Copado release pipelines, ensuring high code quality.
Monitor release performance and system health using Salesforce tools, proactively identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.
Maintain documentation for release processes, environment configurations, and deployment pipelines to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
Stay updated on industry trends and DevOps best practices across SaaS ecosystems to continuously improve release efficiency.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in Copado and automated Salesforce release management.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce metadata management, Git version control, and branching strategies.
Experience establishing automated quality gates, security checks, and code coverage requirements.
Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, or Salesforce CLI) to automate operational workflows.
 
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Working knowledge of AWS DevOps tools and cloud infrastructure management.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Experience with secondary CI/CD pipeline automation tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Salesforce Deployment Lifecycle and Deployment Architect or Administrator certifications.
