Job description

COMPANY OVERVIEW
  • Nukemed Technologies is a rapidly growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, IN, with additional locations in South Bend and Bunker Hill, IN, Danbury, CT and Europe. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Design Engineer to join our growing company. The Design Engineer will assist the engineering department with operational needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Detail Design of parts, assemblies, fixtures, and work cells using Solidworks.
  • Design of equipment and tools for working with radioisotopes.
  • Generate detail fabrication drawings.
  • Tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Production floor layouts.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Source equipment, and components for fabrication and assembly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

TRAVEL
• Regular travel is minimal
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Comprehensive computer skills: CAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 plus years design and drafting experience.
  • 5 plus years 3D parametric design experience. (Solidworks preferred)
  • 5 plus years AutoCAD experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience designing for assembly and manufacturability.
  • Ability to take minimal design direction and make detailed drawings.
  • Ability to research and specify materials and purchased components.
  • Effectively communicate design ideas to team.
  • Work independently with limited design direction.
  • Ability to train and be trained.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Indiana driver's license.
• Pass a Background Check.
