At the center of this mission, the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) unifies data, sensors, mission applications, cloud based services, and emerging AI enabled automation to give warfighters a decisive edge-turning complex, multidomain information into fast, clear, and actionable decisions in the moments that matter most. The CMCC System Facilitator contract positions SAIC to accelerate how new capabilities are integrated, tested, secured, and transitioned into operational use, working side by side with operators, engineers, Capability Providers, and government teams to ensure every delivery strengthens mission readiness. This effort offers the chance to directly shape how the Air Force sees, decides, and acts across all domains-making a tangible and immediate impact on warfighter effectiveness.
SAIC is seeking a DevSec Ops Engineer to join the CMCC DSOP team. This role executes day to day DevSecOps engineering: CI/CD pipeline automation, InfrastructureasCode (IaC) and ConfigurationasCode (CaC), secure build/test/deploy gates, environment provisioning, and release promotion across environments. The DSOP Engineer collaborates with the Release Manager, Integration, Cloud, Cyber, and Test teams to deliver secure, repeatable, auditable capability deployments.
This position will be located in Chantilly, VA, Beale AFB, CA or Colorado Springs, CO.
Job Duties include:
  • Implement DSOP Chief's technical direction for CI/CD automation (GitLab/Jenkins/Argo CD), build orchestration, and deployment pipelines.
  • Author and maintain IaC/CaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) for environment provisioning, configuration baselines, and drift control.
  • Integrate and operate security gates (SAST/DAST/SCA, SBOM generation, STIG/ACAS checks) within pipelines; remediate findings with developers.
  • Support environment promotion by validating build status, automated test results, rollback plans, and readiness artifacts.
  • Engineer containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker/Podman), registries, image signing/validation, and GitOps workflows.
  • Coordinate with Release Manager to package deployables, confirm SIP/CCB entrance criteria, and maintain traceability to baselines.
  • Troubleshoot deployment failures and pipeline issues across cloud, network, and platform layers; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop observability and monitoring (logs/metrics/alerts) and reliability improvements for DSOP operations.
  • Support cross-domain transfer workflows by preparing and validating artifacts per authorized processes.
  • Document DSOP run-books, automation playbooks, and operational SOPs; contribute to PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and retrospectives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience; OR Masters and twelve (12) years or more of related experience; OR PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more of related experience.
  • TS/SCI clearance and ship.
  • DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification (e.g., Security +, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • 10-14+ years in systems integration/DevSecOps/platform engineering within complex or classified programs.
  • Hands on expertise with CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Argo CD) and source control (Git/Bitbucket).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers (Docker/Podman), and Helmbased deployments.
  • Proficiency in Terraform/Ansible (IaC/CaC), environment provisioning, configuration baselines, and automation.
  • Practical knowledge of secure software delivery: SAST/DAST/SCA, SBOM, STIG hardening, vulnerability remediation, RMF/cATO alignment.
  • Experience operating across multiple environments/enclaves; comfort with rollback, blue/green, and canary strategies.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum/SAFe) and Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) for planning, tracking, and documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, scripting (Python/Bash/YAML), and crossteam communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior support to CMCC, CBC2, AOC Falconer, DI, JFN, or other DAF C3BM modernization programs.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud/Platform One/SC2S and secure cloud networking patterns.
  • Exposure to UCI schema, externals/API integrations, and EICD governance.
  • Experience building observability stacks (PrometheGrafana/Elastic) and reliability engineering practices.
  • AWS Solutions Architect / AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD (Kubernetes).
  • SAFe Agilist or Scrum certification; ITIL a plus.
