Primary Job Purpose

Responsible for selling and servicing crop insurance and crop hail insurance. Responsible for coordinating crop insurance and crop hail insurance team across multiple offices. Maintain relationships with existing insurance customers and develop relationships with new customers. Sell and service property casualty insurance. Represent the bank in community organizations and events. Perform all job responsibilities according to the Bank’s policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Sell and service crop insurance and crop hail insurance bank wide.
  • Sell and service all lines of property and casualty insurance.
  • Coordinate tasks with other staff involved in crop insurance work.
  • Prepare and review applications, respond to underwriters. Complete endorsements and process claims from turn in through completion.
  • Maximize customer service and bank profitability by selling or cross selling all bank products and services.
  • Obtain and maintain insurance licenses.
  • Support the bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service and superior product knowledge.
  • Establish and achieve individual goals and departmental goals as they relate to the success of the bank’s Strategic Plan and specific job functions.
  • Participate in the business development efforts of the bank.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Location

This position will split time between the Valparaiso Branch and Main Bank in Seward.

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or business field, or equivalent work experience is required.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of Insurance experience where individual has gained exposure to and acquired diverse insurance knowledge.

Licenses

Nebraska Crop Insurance License and Nebraska Property and Casualty Insurance License

Skills

Must be proficient with Microsoft products and standard office equipment. Proficiency with bank and insurance software is helpful but may be learned on the job.
