The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Modeler to join an enterprise-scale data transformation initiative. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing scalable, efficient data models within a modern Data Mesh architecture. You will act as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, treating "Data as a Product" to empower decentralized data ownership across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of data models and data products specifically tailored for a Data Mesh environment.
• Technical Execution: Leverage Databricks for complex data engineering tasks, including processing, validation, and orchestration.
• Pipeline Optimization: Design and optimize high-performance data pipelines to ensure scalability and reliability across the mesh.
• Governance & Quality: Implement robust data validation rules and federated governance standards to ensure cross-domain data integrity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects and Engineers to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Required Experience & Skills
• Data Mesh Expertise: Proven track record of modeling data products within a decentralized Data Mesh architecture, emphasizing Domain-Driven Design.
• Databricks Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark for data engineering and processing.
• Technical Stack: High proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
