Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and requires 3 days onsite. As part of a major digital transformation initiative to modernize an enterprise data platform, this role will support the design and implementation of data governance, data quality, and lineage solutions using Collibra and Azure-based platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Strategy, Business, and Data Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, governed, and trusted data across key domains such as reference data, market data, and operational data. Responsibilities: Support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives across critical data domains Implement and enhance Collibra-based governance and DQ capabilities Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management are embedded into the data platform Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, governed data solutions Develop and maintain data quality rules using Collibra DQ Implement and manage data governance assets (business glossary, data catalog, stewardship workflows) Support data lineage mapping across systems and pipelines Perform data profiling, validation, and issue analysis using SQL Integrate Collibra with the Azure data platform (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake) Develop automation and utilities using Python or similar languages Collaborate with Data Owners and Engineers to define and enforce DQ controls Ensure code promotion using CI/CD, version control (Git), and deployment best practices Maintain documentation and governance artifacts in tools like Confluence Requirements: 10+ years of experience in a senior-level role Proven experience as a Data Governance or Data Quality Engineer Hands-on experience with Collibra and Collibra DQ Experience with Azure data platforms (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake) Proficiency in SQL for data profiling, validation, and analysis Experience with automation using Python or similar languages Knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Git), and deployment best practices Desired skills: Experience in the financial services industry Knowledge of financial instruments, asset classes, and market data Pay range: Up to $71.18 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
