Job description

Location: East Chicago, IN

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for anAssociate Order Management Representative at our East Chicago, IN office. As an Associate Order Management Representative at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, you will be part of a team that is directly responsible for the entry and processing of variedcustomer purchase orders. This position is highly focused on data entry throughput, and reliant on accuracy in a fast-paced environment.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer purchase order, contract, and/or part specification sheet requirements and how the information is applicable to the production of the steel

  • Enter orders using appropriate technologies into various entry systems

  • Review and check orders for discrepancies and/or errors, updating where appropriate

  • Develop knowledge of internal business processes and systems

  • Process customer order changes that impact themanufacturing/processingor shipment of the steel

  • Review and resolve order issues with internal stakeholders

  • Understand specific production plant capabilities

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree

  • Working knowledge ofcomputersand Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail

  • Ability to demonstrate time management and organization skills

  • Effectively communicates with team internally and externally

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High volume order entry/processing experience

  • Knowledge in SAP or other ERP Systems
