Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments of developer hardware and/or software configuration and data management support on system, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes.

  • Assist and support the program office in controlling and monitoring the established Configuration Management Baselines.

  • Coordinate and/or assist in the preparation for and conduct of the program Configuration Control Board. Prepare associated summary reports as needed.

  • Support and provide technical recommendations on all Contract Data Items which may pertain to program software/hardware quality.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and occasionally present software/hardware configuration and data management briefings for internal and external leadership.

  • Assist the program office in the development of effective hardware and/or software configuration management requirements for Statements of Work and Task Orders.

  • Assist the program office in the development, coordination, and implementation of effective software/hardware change processes and associated documentation.

  • Participate in configuration audits and assessments at the prime/developer contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring the effective implementation of the program configuration and data management requirements.

  • Provide weekly status reports on activities and issues of concern.

  • Travel periodically, approximately once per quarter

  • This position supports MDA/THQ FMS and is located at MDA facility on Redstone Arsenal with expectation to work onsite 1-2 days per week with transition back to fulltime at MDA facility. Otherwise teleworking from home is authorized when not required to be onsite

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Minimum 5 years of experience doing Configuration Management.

  • Experience in configuration management of complex weapon system development and production.

  • Experience in auditing, inspecting, and assessing hardware and software configurations.

  • Experience in reviewing and reporting on compliance with and changes to the system test documents, standard operating procedures, and current test configurations for completeness, accuracy, and correctness.

  • Security Clearance requirements: Secret DoD clearance
