Key Responsibilities
- Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in data center environments
- Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage copper and fiber cabling
- Perform cable testing (continuity, copper, fiber) and validate connectivity
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and port maps
- Install cable pathways including ladder rack, fiber trough, and strut systems
- Label cables, equipment, and power connections accurately
- Install and support network equipment and patching
- Maintain quality workmanship and ensure clean, organized work areas
- Follow all safety standards, codes, and best practices
- Communicate progress and collaborate with team members to resolve issues
- Experience with low-voltage cabling (copper and fiber)
- Familiarity with telecom tools and cable testing equipment
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and diagrams
- Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure and cabling systems
- Understanding of wiring standards, labeling, and installation practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow direction and work within a team environment
- Basic understanding of job site safety requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
