These professionals are responsible for inspecting welding work to ensure it meets specific codes and quality standards. Contract CWIs often face the challenge of adapting quickly to new job sites, each with unique procedures, safety protocols, and documentation standards. They must establish strong communication with both contractors and welders to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications while maintaining impartiality.
