AI at Cvent: Leading the Future
Are you ready to shape the future of work at the intersection of human expertise and AI innovation? At Cvent, we're committed to continuous learning and adaptation-AI isn't just a tool for us, it's part of our DNA. We're looking for candidates who are eager to evolve alongside technology. If you love to experiment boldly, share your discoveries, and help define best practices for AI-augmented work, you'll thrive here. Our team values professionals who thoughtfully integrate AI into their daily work, delivering exceptional results while relying on the human judgment and creativity that drive real innovation.
Throughout our interview process, you'll have the chance to demonstrate how you use AI to learn, iterate, and amplify your impact. If you're excited to be part of a team that's leading the way in AI-powered collaboration, we'd love to meet you.
*We are looking for a technically fluent Staff Product Manager to own Cvent's external MCP (Model Context Protocol) strategy and AI platform integrations. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of developer experience, AI strategy, and enterprise platform product management.
You will define how external developers, AI agents, and third-party systems interact with Cvent's platform - setting the foundation for an ecosystem where Cvent becomes a native, trusted context provider for next-generation AI workflows.*
In This Role, You Will:
MCP & AI Platform Strategy
  • Define and own Cvent's external MCP server roadmap - determining which resources, tools, and capabilities to expose and how to prioritize them against partner and customer needs.
  • Partner with engineering to design MCP-compliant APIs that make Cvent's event, registration, and attendee data accessible to AI agents and LLM-powered applications.
  • Evaluate emerging AI integration patterns (agent frameworks, orchestration layers) and develop a coherent point of view on how Cvent participates in each.
  • Monitor the MCP ecosystem, competitive landscape, and Anthropic / OpenAI platform announcements to keep Cvent's strategy current.

API & Developer Experience
  • Lead the product vision for Cvent's public APIs - including RESTful endpoints, webhooks, and the OAuth 2.0 authorization framework - ensuring they meet the bar for enterprise-grade security and developer usability.
  • Define OAuth scopes, consent flows, and token lifecycle management in collaboration with security and identity engineering.
  • Establish developer documentation standards to create SDKs, quickstarts, and sample integrations that reduce time-to-first-call.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from external developers, ISV partners, and enterprise IT teams to continuously improve the platform.

Cross-Functional Execution
  • Write detailed PRDs and technical specs; translate complex protocol requirements (MCP, OAuth, REST/GraphQL) into clear engineering stories.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure all external integrations meet data privacy, SOC 2, and GDPR requirements.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering and Customer Success to support enterprise customers building AI-powered event workflows on top of Cvent.

Here's What You Need:
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including significant ownership of platform, API, or infrastructure products
  • Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with engineers on complex technical domains (distributed systems, API design, security, rate limiting, quotas, data pipelines, etc.).
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of REST APIs - you can read and write OpenAPI specs, understand HTTP semantics, and evaluate API design trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or demonstrated ability to rapidly internalize new developer protocols and translate them into product requirements.
  • Experience working with LLM-based products or AI agent platforms (e.g., defining tool/function calling contracts, prompt design, context management).
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proven track record of shipping developer-facing products on time and in close collaboration with engineering.
