Job Description Medical Assistant (MA) Rockledge, FL Overview: Our primary care practice in Rockledge is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with daily clinical operations. Our role involves patient intake, testing, and lab management within a collaborative outpatient setting. Position Offers: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Competitive compensation: $17-$21 per hour (DOE) 401(k) Retirement savings plan Paid holidays Aflac Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Free healthcare at the practice for employees and immediate family Key Responsibilities: Open and close the lab each day, ensuring readiness for patient care Perform quality control testing on lab equipment (training provided) Administer vaccines and conduct flu, COVID, and strep throat testing Obtain vitals, including manual blood pressure, and collect patient medical history and chief complaint Assist with pre-op clearance and Electrocardiograms (EKGs) (training provided) Prepare patient charts for the provider Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms to support efficient patient care Support providers during patient visits and procedures Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Minimum 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care Current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or ability to obtain Athena Electronic Health Record (EHR) knowledge a plus No phlebotomy experience required Why Join Us: Join a primary care practice offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and free healthcare for you and your immediate family, all within a supportive, hands-on clinical environment.
