Job description

The Copywriter will develop and manage copy and creative messaging for the Gold's Gym brand, playing a key role in bringing our mission and voice to life. This role covers the full spectrum of copywriting, from concepting campaigns and writing advertising copy to crafting social posts, scripts, and in-club content. The Copywriter will also be responsible for proofreading and editing across brand materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality. This role reports to the Creative Director and contract based for 3 months.

Write and edit compelling advertising copy, campaign messaging, and brand content that resonates with Gold's Gym's target audience

Conceptualize and execute original creative campaigns to be published across paid, owned, and earned channels

Proofread and edit copy across all brand materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand tone of voice

Manage copy from concept to completion for creative materials including digital ads, print, Out of Home (OOH), in-club signage, social posts, CRM campaigns, direct mailers, and more

Fully grasp and maintain Gold's Gym's distinct tone of voice, ensuring all messaging aligns from concept through final delivery

Collaborate with the Senior Copywriter, the broader creative team, and cross-functional departments (marketing, operations, etc.) to deliver projects on time

Create clean, clearly organized copy documents that designers, executives, and stakeholders can easily review and provide feedback on

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date library of copy files and brand messaging assets

All other tasks as assigned

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a copywriter, with demonstrated experience writing advertising copy for consumer brands

Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

Excellent copywriting skills with a proven track record of creating engaging, on-brand content across multiple formats

Strong proofreading and editing abilities with a sharp editorial eye and exceptional attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience writing for fitness, lifestyle, health, or consumer brands is a plus

Passionate about or knowledgeable in fitness

Flexible, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Strong project management skills

Asana, or related software experience preferred
