Responsibilitiesย 
As an Accounting Assistant/Accountingย Deal Processor, you would be responsible for posting vehicle transactions and ensuring the proper completion of related documentation. You would be a valuable team member, helping to ensure that day-to-day operations run seamlessly throughout the organization.ย 

  • Post sales transactions to accounting recordsย after ensuring each deal is compliantย toย the checklist.ย ย ย 

  • Reconcile office records with those of the sales department and account for all deal records, compiling a list of any missing transactions.ย 

  • Prepare a daily reportย ofย all outstanding deals, deals received in accounting, deals missing compliance items and billed deals.ย ย Compilesย other reports asย requested.ย ย 

  • Meet billing percentage requirements.ย 

  • Bill out all dealer trades and prepare Certificate of Originย when needed.ย 

  • Submitย after-marketย contracts.ย 

  • Process and register all vehicle warranties and extended service contracts,ย maintainingย a log of all contracts processed and mailed.ย 

  • Signs off on commission payments based on final documentation.ย 

  • Complete required training as requested byย Manufacturers.ย ย 

  • Process courtesy delivery documentsย when needed.ย ย 

  • Stock in new units.ย ย 

  • Order new/used vehicle owner manuals.ย ย 

  • Assistย with other clerical or administrative tasks asย requested.ย ย 

  • Stock in street purchases/ auction units โ€“ updatingย Axcessaย with title informationย in the absence of theย Billingย Manager.ย 

  • Payย off trade-ins.ย 

  • Clean schedulesย appropriateย toย your desk duties weekly and monthly.ย ย 

  • Complete payroll commissions and month end duties byย appropriate deadlines.ย 

  • Perform any other duties assigned by office manager or controller and special assignments as needed.ย

  • 2-3 years ofย previousย accounting experience, or educational equivalent, isย required.ย Previousย experienceย entering data is preferred.ย 

  • Have a valid driverโ€™s license.ย 

  • Pass a motor vehicle report andย possessย a safe driving record.ย 

  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test. Also subject to random drug testing at the companyโ€™s request.ย
