About the Company   Our client is a communications company. They are looking for a Manager of Finance - Controllers to join their team!
 
Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a strong control environment and reporting requirements
·  Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining strong governance and controls
·  Review, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions
·  Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
·  Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
·  Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives.
·  Manage and develop teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
·  CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset.
·  Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.
·  Strong knowledge and practical experience applying IFRS accounting standards, including expert-level knowledge of IFRS 15 (Revenue) and IFRS 16 (Leases).
·  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
·  Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset.
