Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop in Niagara Outlet Collection on a contract basis. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and a passion for sales and merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop

  • Support the generation and growth of corporate sales

  • Uphold the values of exemplary customer service by modeling appropriate behaviours and establishing clear service standards

  • Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability without compromising customer service

  • Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates

  • Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability

  • Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge

  • Order merchandise and supplies in a timely manner with a focus on inventory management and loss prevention

  • Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork, payroll, accounting, and store administration tasks

  • Develop and apply in-depth knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses

  • Support ongoing performance management, including assisting with employee performance reviews

  • Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards

  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safety

  • Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education

  • Minimum of five years of experience in retail sales, including management or supervisory experience

  • Experience in inventory control and order management

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2 to 5 years of overall retail experience

  • Previous experience in merchandising or visual presentation

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office

  • Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service

  • Passion for chocolate

Rewards Package:

The standard hiring range for this role is $47-$60K CAD per annum. The final agreement uponsalarymay vary based on market location and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
