Job Title: Preschool Learning and Literacy Center School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Leesburg, FLSchool District: Lake County SchoolsCompany: Strides Therapy & Educational ServicesAbout Us:Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a leading local provider of contract therapy services dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of students in schools. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' communication and language development within educational settings. We are a therapist- and woman-owned and operated company.Position Overview:As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment.Additional Details: Lake County is looking for a full-time SLP at Rimes Early Learning and Literacy Center. This public school is unique as it is only for PreK-aged students. There is also a full-time direct hire SLP at the school site.ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.What our employees say about working for us:"Culture is friendly and inclusive.""Everyone is very supportive and willing to help each other."Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.FL State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
