Job description

Job Title Project Manager

Duration: 2 years

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Schedule: Hybrid - Will need to plan on being onsite at least 3 days per week.



Key Responsibilitie

  • sDevelop project scopes and coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for engineering, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and construction activities
  • .Manage projects through engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and project closeout
  • .Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards
  • .Oversee project expenditures and support the cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment, materials, and contractor services
  • .Participate in bid meetings, supplier evaluations, and contractor selection processes
  • .Support the daily management of construction activities and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and service providers
  • .Monitor project performance and proactively manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change control processes
  • .Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership
  • .Interface with internal departments, operations personnel, engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and labor organizations
  • .Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes
  • .Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements
  • .Perform detailed analysis of project estimates versus actual costs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • .Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

Required Qualificatio

nsCandidates must meet one of the following qualification

  • s:Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field, and a minimum of 6 years of project management experience;
  • ORAssociate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Technical Design, Project Management, Business, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of related project management experience;
  • ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of related project management experienc

e.Required Skills & Experien

  • ceStrong familiarity with gas utility construction projects and industry best practice
  • s.Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects from initiation through completio
  • n.Ability to apply formal project management methodologies, analytical techniques, and problem-solving processe
  • s.Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct project teams and drive successful project outcome
  • s.Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skill
  • s.Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environmen
