Pay Range $67,000 - $77,000

Position Summary:

As a member of the Revenue Team, the Grant Accountant performs a range of accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, invoicing contracts, analyzing expenses, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This role also carries out additional duties as assigned, ensuring all work complies with the organizationโ€™s fiscal policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of its financial systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring general ledger and contract coding are accurate and consistent.
  • Review profit and loss statements for individual contracts, analyzing expenses against approved budgets and allowable costs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate contract billing and financial reporting in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret financial data to support contract management and decision-making.
  • Reconcile contract advances, monitor account receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
  • Support contract closeouts and assist with fiscal year-end processes, including audit preparation and documentation.
  • Uphold the values of CTI โ€“ Equity, Integrity, Compassion.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with strong overall computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience working with federal and/or state grants and contracts preferred
