Contract Site Manager – Aircraft Maintenance / Corrosion Control (C‐5 / C‐17)

About the Role:

Moon Tune  Aircraft Detailing LLC is hiring an experienced Contract Site Manager – Aircraft Maintenance & Corrosion Control to lead operations supporting C‐5 and C‐17 military aircraft at Dover Air Force Base.

This is a high-visibility leadership role overseeing aircraft wash, corrosion control, and ground servicing operations in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.

Ideal candidate:
An experienced aviation maintenance leader with strong knowledge of heavy aircraft operations, USAF standards, and corrosion control programs.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise aircraft wash & corrosion control operations
  • Manage teams supporting 24/7 flightline operations
  • Ensure compliance with USAF Technical Orders, safety (AFOSH), and contract requirements
  • Serve as primary liaison with the USAF COR
  • Oversee training, scheduling, quality control, and reporting
  • Coordinate vendors, equipment, and mission-critical resources

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years aircraft maintenance experience
  • FAA A&P OR equivalent military experience (preferred)
  • Experience with heavy aircraft (C‐5, C‐17, or similar)
  • Background in supervising maintenance or service teams
  • Knowledge of corrosion control & aircraft servicing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Basic Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen (Required)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance / background check
  • Valid driver’s license (clean record required)
  • Ability to work flexible schedule & on-call as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat/cold)
  • Work safely around large aircraft and ground equipment

Compensation

  • Contract (1099) or C2C
  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Expected range: $45–$55+/hour
