Pay Rate: $42.00/hr W2
Duration: 5+ Month Contract (Extension & Conversion Opportunities Available)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary
Seeking a Process Engineer to support a leading manufacturing organization in Pinellas Park, FL. This position is responsible for providing technical ownership of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, stable, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have experience in process engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving within a production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical owner for assigned manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain process stability, control, and compliance with established specifications.
  • Support production teams by troubleshooting complex process and equipment issues.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, process variation, downtime, and yield improvement opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and process metrics using Excel and statistical tools.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, and control plans.
  • Support new product introductions, equipment validation, and process industrialization.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to Process Technicians and production personnel.
  • Maintain a strong manufacturing floor presence and provide occasional off-shift support as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of process control, process capability, variation reduction, and standard work.
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing environments involving industrial chemicals.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience.
  • Experience in coatings, chemical processing, cleanroom, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), capability studies, and JMP software.
