Contract engineers may also assist in troubleshooting, testing, or training healthcare staff on medical equipment.

What types of projects or assignments do contract biomedical engineers typically work on?

Contract biomedical engineers often work on a variety of projects, such as designing and testing new medical devices, improving hospital equipment, or supporting regulatory submissions for product approvals. Assignments can range from short-term troubleshooting and maintenance to longer-term research and development initiatives within pharmaceutical, hospital, or medical device companies. You may collaborate closely with R&D, clinical, and regulatory teams, often adapting quickly to new environments and specific client needs.
