Job description

Experience the rewarding opportunity to support high school students' communication and academic growth in a dynamic educational environment. This contract-based position for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during a colleague's leave, with a balanced part-time schedule to fit your career and personal life.
This assignment begins as early as late September with a shadowing opportunity, ensuring a seamless transition for both you and the student caseload. The primary contract spans from October 4 through December 23, offering flexibility in working hours as you manage responsibilities for approximately 46 students. The schedule includes three days per week-Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday-totaling about 20 hours weekly, with some variation depending on workload completion.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP licensure in Kansas, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and consult collaboratively with education teams
  • References available upon interview, as they are required before an offer is made
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct services and consultation to a diverse high school caseload
  • Conduct assessments, develop and update IEPs, and maintain proper documentation
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff
  • Participate in referral and eligibility meetings as needed
