Job description
Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing essential speech and language services in a supportive school-based setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering therapy to children across a variety of needs, including those engaged in teletherapy as well as in-person sessions. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to help students reach their full communicative potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid or eligible license as an SLP in Iowa
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Comfortable with both in-person and teletherapy service delivery
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with educational staff and families
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions in accordance with each student's IEP, using both virtual and in-person modalities
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of progress, assessments, and services rendered
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide guidance on speech and language interventions
