Software Engineer (On Site - Daytona Beach, FL)

About

Our client builds and deploys AI systems that eliminate repetitive administrative work in physician practices. We help healthcare teams spend less time on paperwork and more time caring for patients. Our technology automates operational workflows such as referrals, prior authorizations, fax processing, scheduling, patient communications, billing, and other time-consuming administrative tasks. In this role, you will help make the future of healthcare possible.

Essential Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, build, and debug AI workflow automation systems from start to finish.
  • Collaborate directly with physicians and medical office staff to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, playwright, and Python.
  • Integrate EHR platforms, RPAs, third-party APIs, OCR tools, large language models, fax systems, and other technologies.
  • Prototype and deploy solutions rapidly in response to customer needs and feedback.
  • Conduct various architecture refactors on complex systems.
  • Debug complex workflows involving multiple systems, data formats, and external services.
  • Build reliable, secure, and compliant systems for healthcare related environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between technical and nontechnical staff. Working proficiency with Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong software engineering, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Experience developing applications with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
  • The ability to work effectively with changing requirements and rapid development cycles.
  • A self-motivated, resourceful approach and a strong startup mindset.
  • Clear communication skills and an interest in working closely with customers.
  • Experience with healthcare technology, EHR systems, AI, OCR, or LLMs is helpful.

Compensation
