- Lead development and review of T2 engineering packages supporting aircraft modifications, mission equipment integration, instrumentation installations, antenna relocations, communications systems, ISR payloads, and subsystem upgrades.
- Conduct technical peer reviews of contractor-developed engineering analyses, substantiation reports, drawings, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and installation packages.
- Evaluate integration impacts affecting aircraft performance, safety, maintainability, supportability, electromagnetic compatibility, and airworthiness certification.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering reviews ensuring technical consistency between engineering disciplines prior to Government approval.
- Lead technical trade studies evaluating alternative integration approaches, design concepts, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Review system architecture, interface definitions, functional requirements, electrical interfaces, software interfaces, mechanical interfaces, and data communications.
- Support development of engineering requirements, verification plans, Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Airworthiness Review Boards (ARB).
- Coordinate engineering activities supporting both developmental testing and operational flight testing.
- Review system safety analyses including Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), System Safety Assessments (SSA), Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), and hazard tracking.
- Support development of system verification matrices, requirements traceability matrices, and technical risk assessments.
- Coordinate engineering activities supporting aircraft sustainment, engineering investigations, fleet modifications, technical directives, and engineering dispositions.
- Provide engineering recommendations supporting Government Chief Engineers, Technical Authorities (TA), Airworthiness Authorities, Program Managers, and customer representatives.
- Develop engineering memorandums, technical recommendations, risk assessments, engineering white papers, executive briefings, and customer presentations.
- Review and coordinate CAD models, installation drawings, structural analyses, electrical load analyses, wiring diagrams, interface documentation, and aircraft modification packages.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable Government guidance and other applicable airworthiness standards.
