A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

Validation Engineer II

  • Perform validation for infotainment/telematic products by utilizing test benches and vehicles
  • Responsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, update specification from customer and full test cases
  • Plays a key role in validation execution within assigned projects, actively contributing to delivery, quality, and crossfunctional coordination as part of the project execution structure
  • Lead and guide validation engineers from a project execution perspective
  • Stabilize and successfully deliver customer projects through handson ownership
  • Lead customer communication and coordination with Korea HQ
  • Drive improvements in validation capability, process, and execution quality within the project scope
  • Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications
  • Create/maintain test cases per product specifications
  • Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects
  • Test bench setup / SW updates
  • Field Test / Joint field test with OEM
  • OEM Support (frequent visiting, fixing damaged OEM's HU by update tools, SW status drive)
  • Audit Event Support (communication support, issue analysis/reproduction)
  • Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues
  • Support to resolve technical issues
  • Responsible for arranging test vehicle usage with the customer for internal validation activities
  • Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
  • Support and communicate with DQA team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
  • Support onsite/offsite customer meetings as needed.
  • Coach/Mentor new validation technician and engineering team members
  • Manage OEM customer relationship, develop and manage 3rd party relationship
  • Report validation status to counterparts locally and overseas.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Bilingual: English and Korean
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ year's experience in automotive validation, infotainment/telematics preferred
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to Travel (International, Domestic, local) up to 30% annually
  • Ability to perform in vehicle testing up to 8 hours per day
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry handheld items weighing up to 20 lbs. (e.g. laptop, documents, validation samples)
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/setup benches weighing up to 30lbs.
