Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of land use issues
2. Review, draft, and negotiate land use agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
3. Represent clients in administrative hearings, litigation, and other legal proceedings related to land use issues.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys, planners, and consultants to develop and implement land use strategies.
6. Stay abreast of changes in land use laws and regulations, and advise clients on potential impacts.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders.
8. Contribute to the development of firm-wide best practices and initiatives related to land use law.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. 2-4 years of experience as a land use attorney
4. Proven experience with land use regulations, real estate development, and environmental laws.
5. Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders.
