Job description

Excelsior Defense is currently hiring Armed Security Officers for a new contract at one of Florida's most well-known outdoor recreation destinations. We are seeking professional and experienced officers to maintain a safe environment for guests, staff, and property. This assignment requires officers who demonstrate strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to operate in a high-activity outdoor environment.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Available Shifts

Coverage is required 24 hours per day, and we are currently hiring for all shifts:

06:00 – 14:00 (Day Shift)
14:00 – 22:00 (Evening Shift)
22:00 – 06:00 (Overnight Shift)

Full-time and part-time schedules may be available.


Minimum Requirements – Please Read Before Applying

Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

Active Florida Class D Security License
Active Florida Class G Armed Security License
• Prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Armed Security experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in an active recreation environment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work any of the listed shifts if needed

Applicants who do not meet the licensing requirements will not be considered.


Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property
• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas
• Monitor guest activity and enforce property rules and safety policies
• Respond to disturbances, suspicious activity, or safety concerns
• Assist guests and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Complete incident and activity reports through company reporting systems
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site management
