Job description

The Opportunity
We're building a new way to experience fashion: try on clothes with your AI likeness, discover looks from others and shop your favorites. We're a small team of creative builders in NYC with a rare combination of taste and deep AI expertise. Our CEO designed avatars for Apple Vision Pro, and our CTO built consumer AI at DeepMind. We've collaborated with brands like Peter Do and been featured in Vogue. Backed by the investors behind OpenAI, Cursor and SKIMS, we're positioned at the intersection of AI, technology and culture.
The Role
We're looking for someone who cares deeply about how interactions feel. You'll help build our iOS app, crafting the gestures, transitions and details that elevate the Doji experience.
At Doji, we treat engineering as a craft. The best native experiences come from people who obsess over details. We build in UIKit because it gives us the control to get those details right, and we use tools like Claude Code to move fast. That said, no UIKit experience is required - if you have the taste and fundamentals, we'll help you learn it.
This is an in-person role from our office in NYC.
You might be a great fit if you...
  • Have a design eye. You notice when a swipe dismiss feels slightly off, when an animation curve is wrong, when a gesture doesn't feel quite right. And you can't let it go.
  • Care about craft over credentials. You'd rather iterate 10x on one interaction than ship something "good enough".
  • Have strong programming fundamentals. We care more about how you think than what languages you know. Swift/UIKit experience is a plus, same with any strongly typed language - but what matters is that you can pick up new things quickly.
  • Are self-driven and high-agency. Startup pace, founder-level ownership.
  • Have genuine interest in fashion, avatars, or creative expression.
  • Know how to use AI coding tools, and when not to.

Nice to Have...
  • Prior iOS or UIKit experience
  • Experience building fluid animations and custom transitions
  • Familiarity with gesture systems and touch mechanics
  • Background in fashion, consumer e-commerce, or well-designed consumer apps

Doji is building the future of how people discover and try on fashion. If you're obsessed with the details that make digital experiences feel delightful, we want to talk.
