Detailed Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SAFe Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for distributed Scrum teams and support Agile Release Train execution in a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader with strong experience in improving sprint and PI predictability, resolving cross-team blockers, enabling Agile maturity, and driving continuous improvement across teams. The role requires strong facilitation skills, stakeholder engagement, Agile metrics-based reporting, and the ability to coach teams and Product Owners on Agile best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospective, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Support SAFe / ART-level execution, including PI objectives, risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination.
• Improve sprint predictability, PI predictability, velocity trends, cycle time, burndown, and delivery health through effective metrics tracking and reporting.
• Remove impediments, resolve dependencies, and proactively manage blockers impacting team delivery.
• Coach Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile mindset, Scrum principles, backlog readiness, estimation, and INVEST-based story development.
• Drive transparency through dashboards, information radiators, Agile reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to support release planning, scope alignment, and value-driven delivery.
• Promote team self-organization, accountability, psychological safety, continuous learning, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Support DevOps adoption and collaborate with teams to improve release reliability through CI/CD practices.
Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master / Senior Scrum master's in enterprise Agile delivery.
• Practical experience with SAFe framework, Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, risks, dependencies, and PI objectives.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Agile metrics, release execution, and program-level delivery tracking.
• Experience improving delivery outcomes using metrics such as velocity, cycle time, burndown, flow, sprint predictability, and program predictability.
• Strong experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to work with distributed teams and manage cross-functional collaboration across business, product, development, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAFe Scrum Master certification preferred.
• Professional Scrum Master certification preferred.
• Experience in regulated, enterprise, healthcare, financial services, insurance, or large-scale transformation environments is an advantage.
• Prior experience supporting DevOps / CI-CD adoption and improving release reliability is preferred.
