Job description

Client: Financial
Job Title: Full-stack developer
Location: McLean - open to any Client location post-COVID
Duration: Contract

Description:
  • Looking for a full-stack developer, heavy on front-end. 3+ years' experience. Angular 8+ front-end; Node back-end. RBT - Retail Bank Tech

  • Case management space within Associate Servicing; full stack on front-end is Angular, upgrading to Angular 12.
  • Team owns core features and components of the UI, will be contributing to core components.
  • Reviewing contributions from other teams will also be expected.
  • UI integrates with a number of back-end microservices, some in Java, some in Node - from a contribution expectation, the primary contribution for the back-end services will be Node - a case management workflow lifecycle platform that the team contributes to using an open source technology called XState (they will train on this.)
  • Being able to pick up a new technology is an expectation.
  • Occasional opportunity for some Java contribution to the rest of the back-end platform, pretty infrequent, they have Sr engineers with Java experience handling that.
  • From a business perspective, cases are created in the associate servicing platforms - a case is whenever a customer or associate can't solve their need immediately and there is some kind of extended process that needs to be executed - and the infrastructure and actual code that owns and manages that process is the team's responsibility. 3 person team currently - Sr Engineer, Tech Lead, 2 Product Owners, ADL, looking to fill 3 seats total, expanding the team.
  • 50% Angular, 40% Node, Java maybe 10% of work
  • Containerization experience good. Front-end is tested in Jest - experience there would be nice, or experience with Jasmine. No AWS experience needed.
