We are looking for a highly energetic and skillful technical leader who can help us re-architect our existing customer / employee facing systems and develop new capabilities in a completely cloud-native environment. This individual will be highly proficient in leading technical teams of both full time and contract employees and have significant experience in AWS, node.js, spring boot, angular, react, react native and similar technologies. We are a team of highly innovative and entrepreneurial individuals and the leader for this group needs to demonstrate the same level of curiosity, ingenuity, and creativity in their current and past roles. This role will be central to the overall transformation of the company as we look to build new, compelling, and novel experiences that will revolutionize how customers engage with automotive service.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee user experience for all facets of employee / customer facing technologies including consumer mobile application, employee mobile application, employee
• Develop and deliver overall full stack architecture developing in a cloud-native environment using RESTFUL services
• Lead and motivate a team of 12-15 engineers
• Participate as part of the IT Leadership Team (direct reports to the CIO) and participate in many Senior Leadership Team meetings
• Lead the standardization of all development practices leveraging full agile development
• Lead, develop and mentor the team, developing new team members successfully
• Influence and set strategic direction for all customer / employee technologies
• Must be able to quickly establish credibility at all levels of the organization including senior-level business executives
• Manage budget, resources and schedules across multiple projects, internal and system integrator staff. Coordinate with other programs and IT's horizontal services
• Identify, manage and communicate issues, risks and dependencies to project stakeholders and sponsors
• Help maintain and evolve the IT applications roadmap and drive strategic recommendations
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• At least 10 years' experience leading systems engineering capabilities ideally within a notable startup or digital group within a Fortune 500 environment
• Experience managing teams over 10 FTEs, including subcontractors and offshore resources
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate and handle critical situation, negotiating solutions and resolving conflicts with customers, IT partners and vendors
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff remotely, across multiple time zones
• Demonstrated experience in setting and influencing strategic business solutions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work effectively with VP and C-level executives
• Leadership skills; able to influence others to the desired outcome, supervise and inspire team members
• Experience leading agile and modern software development tools such as Github, JIRA / Confluence, Jenkins
• Experience in cloud-based technologies including hands-on experience with DevOps
• Hands-on experience with java / fullstack technologies including SpringBoot, Node.js, Angular.js, React, React Native, etc.
