Job description

Job Summary

AURĀE Modern Medical + Spa is seeking a compassionate, grounded, and highly skilled Licensed Acupuncturist to join our integrative wellness team.

At AURĀE, we believe wellness is both scientific and deeply personal. Our approach blends evidence-based medicine, regenerative aesthetics, and restorative wellness experiences designed to support mind, body, and soul.

We are seeking a practitioner who values elevated client experiences, nervous system regulation, whole-body wellness, and personalized care within a luxury medical spa environment.

Engagement Type: Contract-to-hire

Schedule: Part-time hours to start, based on client bookings and demand


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client consultations, including medical history, lifestyle, and wellness goals
  • Assess clients using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles and clinical observation
  • Perform acupuncture treatments, including accurate point location and needle insertion based on client anatomy and condition
  • Utilize complementary modalities as appropriate, which may include:
    • Cupping therapy
    • Moxibustion
    • Gua sha
    • Acupressure, shiatsu, or tuina
    • Heat and/or cold therapies
    • Ayurvedic Counseling
  • Perform comprehensive acupuncture evaluations and treatments in one or more of the following areas:
    • Stress and nervous system regulation
    • Hormone balance and women’s wellness
    • Facial rejuvenation acupuncture
    • Cosmetic acupuncture
    • Fertility support
    • Pain management
    • Lymphatic and wellness-focused therapies
    • Integrative or luxury wellness environments
  • Conduct contraindication screening and client education
  • Maintain SOAP documentation and treatment notes
  • Support integrative wellness goals through collaborative care
  • Recommend complementary wellness services when appropriate
  • Maintain treatment room cleanliness and safety standards
  • Deliver a calm, elevated, hospitality-focused client experience

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Acupuncturist license in good standing
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Master’s degree or higher in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution
  • National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certification (or eligibility, as applicable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for holistic wellness and client-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Professional, calming, and hospitality-driven presence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a wellness clinic, med spa, or integrative health setting
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  • Interest in building and maintaining a consistent client base
  • Comfort educating clients on services in a consultative, non-sales-driven manner

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry:
    • Up to 15 lbs. regularly
    • Up to25 lbs. frequently
    • Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
