As a Physical Therapist, you will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in the Dulles area. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, utilizing advanced assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote healing and functional improvement, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Consult with healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive continuum of care; maintain clear communication regarding patient progress and needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and rehabilitation strategies tailored to each individual's needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes, adhering to all applicable regulations and documentation standards.
• Actively participate in community outreach programs and support leadership initiatives focused on continuous quality improvement and departmental growth.
• Supervise and guide the work of support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing mentorship for professional development.

You will primarily serve orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your approach will be patient-centered, adapting to diverse patient backgrounds and cultural needs to provide the highest level of care. Engaging with patients of all ages, your role is crucial in facilitating their recovery journey and promoting lifelong health and wellness.

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation or prior experience in a rehabilitation setting will be highly regarded. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous, emphasizing your ability to document patient information efficiently and accurately. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
